Four suspects carjack woman in Mission Beach with ‘imitation guns’

A San Diego Police cruiser Flre photo by Chris Stone Times of San Diego A woman was allegedly carjacked Friday by four individuals who appeared to be wielding guns leading police on a short pursuit in Mission Beach The accused two men and two women met with the victim at p m on Thursday and began socializing Their relationship was unclear according to the San Diego Police Department The robbery occurred around a m Friday when two of the individuals while riding in the victim s car drew what were later determined to be imitation firearms and ordered the victim out of the wagon The persons then drove away from Mission Blvd near the intersection of Belmont Park police noted The automobile was in the downtown area of San Diego when officers attempted a traffic stop The driver did not respond and a pursuit ensued the department stated Police deployed tire deflation devices on the conveyance which prompted three of the individuals to flee the wagon on foot but they were apprehended shortly afterward The fourth suspect who stayed inside the carriage was also apprehended police disclosed Police reported they recovered one imitation firearm from the conveyance No injuries were disclosed and the make and model of the car were not published City News Function
